Dermalux LED Light Therapy

£39 | 30 mins
Courses of 6 can be arranged at your appointment, and I’ll adjust the price accordingly if you’re going that route.

This is hands-down one of my favourite skin boosters. The Dermalux Flex LED uses a powerful mix of blue, red and near-infrared light to heal, rejuvenate and energise your skin—no downtime, no fuss. There are seven different light protocols, and I’ll choose the one that best supports your skin’s current needs, whether it’s calming inflammation, boosting collagen, or helping clear congestion. It’s gentle but seriously effective, and while it’s great as an add-on, it’s absolutely strong enough to be a stand-alone treatment too.

WHAT IT TREATS

LED therapy can help with a whole range of concerns—acne, sensitivity, dullness, ageing, inflammation, and healing post-treatment. It’s a great option if you’re after visible results without anything invasive.

HOW IT WORKS

Red Light - Is good for most skin types. It regenerates skin cells and collagen. It improves circulation which is vital for skin cell health production of collagen, elastin and regeneration. It aids wound healing so is brilliant for use at the end of an invasive treatment such as micro-needling. It has an anti-inflammatory effect so again, great for post invasive treatment and for general skin soothing and healing. Red light is highly recommended for ageing skin.

Blue Light - Kills bacteria and inhibits excess sebum production so is therefore an extremely effective tool for treating acne. It also prevents infection and also aids wound healing. Highly recommended for anyone who is suffering or is prone to acne.

Green Light - Is extremely calming for both the skin and the mind. It also reduces dark spots, sun damage and hyper-pigmentation. Results from using green light are an overall more luminous and even complexion. Highly recommended for dull, sun damaged skin.

Yellow Light - Calms redness and sensitised skin. Also acts as an anti-inflammatory. Yellow light is also good for waking up the lymphatic system which is vital for skin health as it flushes away impurities that cause conditions such as accelerated ageing and acne. Highly recommended for people with rosacea, spider veins and sensitive skin. Also recommended for the detoxifying properties.

THE PROCEDURE

LED light therapy is an extremely relaxing, enjoyable experience that can be enjoyed by anyone. The use of an LED lamp that is designed to shed light around the entire face and neck while relaxing on the therapy bed can be added on to the end of any treatment for a 20 minute session for a small fee, or I can tailor a bespoke facial using clinical products specific to your needs that can then penetrate while under the relaxing lamp. The lamp will be set to the colour of your skin's needs. The use of the clinical products combined with the LED therapy will really amplify the effectiveness and the results.

The procedure if used alone as part of a facial using clinical skincare requires no down-time. It is non-invasive and extremely relaxing and penetrates the skin in a way the eye cannot see. Perfect for anyone who wants a non-invasive facial that still gives results.

AFTERCARE

There is no length of down time following this procedure, but just like any other treatment, direct sunlight needs to be avoided so as not to reverse the beneficial effects the LED, and the use of SPF is essential. Although, after enough education, everyone should eventually realise that direct sunlight should always be avoided and a high, broad spectrum SPF should be worn daily come rain or shine!

Recommended aftercare should also be used if you want to see a continual improvement of your skin.
